bio - cvThe photographer and teacher of photography Kimon Axaopoulos was born and raised in Naxos
He obtained a BA in the Faculty of Applied Arts in Athens and after finishing his Pedagogical Studies he has been working as a teacher of Photography in Public Vocational Education.
In 2017 he obtained a MA in the Open University in Graphic Arts and Multimedia. The Subject of his thesis was ‘The War and Immigration in Art and Photography”.
He founded the school of Free Study on Photography in the Club of Piraeus and has also created the group of Photo Investigators.
Nowadays he has a rich artistic and educational work. He has participated in many conferences and exhibitions in Greece and abroad and has been awarded a lot of distinctions in photography contests.
Moreover, Kimon Axaopoulos is the author of the book of Photography which is taught in Public Vocational Education. He has also published a lot of articles in magazines on photography and has given a number of lectures in different clubs of photography.
