Giannis Kastritsis
- bio - cvHe was born and grew up in Greece in 1960. He studied Painting at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He received his degree with distinction and continued his studies at the Department of Brooklyn college of New York from 1990 until 1993 with specialization in Painting. From 1995 until 1997 he was a postgraduate scholar (engraving) of the National Scholarship Foundation. Kastritsis has taught in secondary education 1993-97, at the Technological Educational Institutes of Athens (Department of Decorative Arts and Graphic Design) from 1997 until 2013, at the Aegean University (Syros) 2001-02 and since 2007 he has been teaching at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Florina.
He has done 10 solo exhibitions and has taken part in group exhibitions. The books of his personal works “The World of Things” (in Greek), “In the Big Pothole” (in Greek), “The man and his shadow”(in Greek), “The doubt o Cezanne”(in Greek), “Interpretation o lives”(in Greek) are released by Futura Publishing Company.
