ΟΜΑΔΙΚΗ ΕΚΘΕΣΗ ”7 female artists in communication”
Group Exhibition: “7 Female Artists in Communication – 7 Women take the lead of contemporary Greek painting” at PrismaArt Gallery, in Piraeus
“Does gender have anything to do with art, with the work itself or with the concept expressed by its creator?”
At a time when the use of clichés has faded into the background, the evolution in contemporary art reveals the presence of several female Greek painters with activity and achievement, not only in Greece but also in the international art scene.
ArtPrisma Gallery being an avid supporter of the strong presence of women in contemporary Greek Art presents the group exhibition “7 female artists in communication”.
7 women artists converse with one another through different paths, each committed to her own artistic identity, following her own dream, pagan, fantasy roads. The tones in their works vary, as do their emotions; their lavish worlds carry us through inner, personal routes, which extend beyond the obvious. Appreciating art past that which meets the eye helps steer the viewer down the individual path of each artist with enough leeway for interpretation and imagination.
With small as well as large scale works the creators point out that art is not about size, but rather about the final artistic effect.
